I went with some nice heavy-duty rubber ones from Wal-Mart. They trap all kinds of dirt and water and are real easy to clean (bathtub, garden hose, etc.). I had originally gotten them for my '88 Reliant wagon cause I needed something that didn't bunch up when I was harnessed in. I liked them so much I transfered 'em to the Z when I got it. Here's one in the Z nice and dirty when I was bleeding my clutch:
And somewhat cleaner in the Reliant:
I think they were like $7 each and I have never had a problem with them shifting or bunching up in either car.
